How do I submit my project receipts?

If ioby served as your project’s fiscal sponsor, you’ll be required to upload receipts from your project as part of your Project Report. We recommend that you complete the Project Report and upload all of your receipts in one submission after you complete your project. This will be easier for you than returning to the Project Report form each time you have a new expense.

The last question on the Project Report asks if ioby was your fiscal sponsor. If ioby was not your fiscal sponsor, click the “no” button and then “submit”. Your Project Report is complete and you do not need to upload any receipts. If ioby was your fiscal sponsor, click “yes” and you’ll see the receipt submission form appear below.

For each receipt, you’ll enter the amount, vendor or company you purchased from, and the purpose of your purchase. The amount and the purpose of the purchase should align with your project’s disbursed budget.

You’ll also need to upload an image of the receipt. Click the “Choose File” button. After you select the image file from your computer or device, you should see the file name next to the “Choose File” button.

If you lost the original receipt and are uploading a stand-in version, select the check box that says “I don't have my receipt for this purchase so I am uploading a stand-in version”.

If your receipt includes purchases that were not part of your project, simply cross out any unrelated purchases before you take a picture and upload the receipt. Then indicate this by clicking this check box that says “This receipt includes purchases that are not part of my project”.

If you have multiple receipts, click the “Add another response” link. Another set of fields will appear below, where you can enter the amount, vendor, and purpose of your receipt, as well as another button to upload your next receipt. Continue adding receipts until you are finished. 

Once you’re added all of your project’s receipts, click the blue “Submit” button. You’re done!!
