What reporting is required if I fundraise on ioby?

Updated on

After you fundraise with us, the ioby team will follow up with you and ask you to complete a brief Project Report. We require this information to ensure all funds raised through ioby.org are used in accordance to our charitable purpose. This is critical to maintaining our 501c3 status and helping us improve our service to ioby Leaders like you.

When you close out your ioby campaign, you’ll be asked to confirm a Project Completion Date by which you think you’ll have completed your project. This is the date that all the funds you raised on ioby toward your project are spent. It’s okay if that date is far in the future, or if it’s just your best guess. You can always change your expected completion date at any point. Just email your strategist to let them know.

if ioby is your fiscal sponsor, your report will ask you to:

  • Share how much of the money you raised on ioby.org has been spent.
  • Share the receipts from your purchases. If we don’t receive your receipts we will not be able to be your fiscal sponsor in the future.

If ioby is NOT your fiscal sponsor, your report will ask you to:

  • Share how much of the money you raised on ioby.org has been spent

And for all ioby projects, your report includes a place for you to share stories, photos, or videos about your project. We love to showcase projects like yours to inspire others!
