What can I use as a valid receipt?

For projects that are being fiscally sponsored by ioby, you are required to upload receipts for your project’s expenses. Receipts that you upload must include:

  1. the vendor
  2. the purchase date
  3. what the purchase was for
  4. the purchase amount

A photo or a screenshot of your receipt will typically include all of this information.

If you made a purchase or transaction that did not include a receipt, you will still need to upload documentation. The easiest way to do this will be to create your own receipt. Upload a photo of a single piece of paper that includes:

  1. the vendor
  2. the purchase date
  3. what the purchase was for
  4. the purchase amount
  5. your signature

The easiest way to do this will be to simply handwrite the information on a piece of paper, sign it, and upload it as one receipt.
